THE YEAR OF THE RAT
Hi Kids
Today is the 1st day of February 2008. The month that you've been waiting for... Yup, I can see you smiling ... so Chinese New Year is here again.. Yippie.. that would mean another prosperous year for all of us, $$$ for most of us....don't forget to share your red packet $$ with me :)
In your journal entry today, I want you to share with your peers the following details..
1) What have you done for yourself to prepare the CNY?
2) What has your family done for your house in preparation of the CNY?
3) What have you done for our class CNY decoration? Which part of the class do you like the most? Did you enjoy taking decorating the class?

Planning - A Fantasy Story
Hi Kids
Part 1
1) Find a fairy tale (either from a book, Internet or Studio Ctr) of your choice.
2) Right click on the flowchart above and copy the image.
3)Open the Paint application and paste the image
4)Add text box to fill in the blanks
5)Save your work as My Fantasy Tale Review- .jpg into the Studio Ctr>> Class 4.4>> Unit 1 - My Fantasy Tale Review folder
Part 2
1) Grab a friend to work on a writing activity.
2) You and your partner have to choose
- a character
- a setting
- an action
3) Start to brainstorm a fantasy story.
4) Get a copy of the flowchart at STUDIO CENTRE>> CLASS4.4>>Unit 1 - Writing>> UNIT 1 - FLOWCHART TEMPLATE
5) Write your discussion on the flowchart
6) Save your work at STUDIO CENTRE>> CLASS4.4>>Unit 1 - Writing>> UNIT 1 - FLOWCHART(you and your partner's name).doc

Do you remember 'Marrog' in the poem that we read this week? We discussed about the physical appearance, facial features and mannerism of the imaginary creature? Now, you are to imagine what imaginary creature would you like to be?
1)Create your own imaginary creature using PAINT.
2) Save your work at STUDIO CENTRE>>CLASS 4.4>> MY UNUSUAL BEING
3) Name your file as.jpg. Select JPEG as your file type. e.g. cheryl.jpg

2) Choose one of the tales and give us your review on it.
e.g. Do you like the tale? Who is your favourite character in the story?
3) If you could change the ending of the story, what will it be? Tell us your version of the story. Click on comments and start writing your tales...
